Our Model

Education

The Lantern Project provides training designed to empower you with the knowledge to join the fight against human trafficking and exploitation everywhere.

We offer three types of training, tailored to your needs:

Safety starts at home. In today’s connected world, you and your loved ones are more at risk than ever. Predators use social media, video games, and phone apps to single out, groom, and enslave young children and adults alike. Having awareness and the tools to protect your family virtually is as essential as other safety measures we take to lock and secure our homes from intruders.

Take this training on your own, with your family, or with family friends.

It is tailored to teach you how to protect yourself and those you love from victimization.

Our training will enable you and your employees to quickly and safely identify and connect victims with organizations that can help them. The horrors of human trafficking will continue unabated without large-scale community involvement: This is where your organization can help. Public-private sector action will help ensure that victims are seen and given a voice. Our training fuels you with the knowledge needed to take action. Once you have completed the training, we will send you a completion certificate and promotional materials.

With a direct connection to local communities, church organizations are uniquely positioned to help people in need. And often, churches and their ministers are the first place victims feel safe to reach out for assistance. The only way to combat this horrific situation is to increase awareness, educate everyone, and empower each community member as a light. We urge you to take The Lantern Training and become a beacon of hope and education for your congregation at large.

The Bible encourages us to rescue the weak and save them from their oppressors. The Lantern training will teach your community how to do just that.

Each course is designed to be the first step in ongoing education for individuals and groups alike. We will update you as new technologies, threats, and defense techniques come into play.

Identification

Community education, involvement, and effort from individual citizens, the private business sector, churches, ministries, and non-profit organizations are essential to identifying and helping these victims.

By displaying a lantern in the window of your place of business, organization, or meeting place, you designate it as a Lantern Station – a safe space that creates awareness and facilitates a connection between victims and those who can help.

Fewer than 1% of victims are ever identified once trafficked.

We believe that Lantern Stations will encourage people to come forward and seek help.

Community Empowerment

Without community involvement, we cannot stop this growing threat to humanity. Many groups are trained and ready to assist those in need. However, they are often underfunded and understaffed. Your donations to The Lantern Project are the fuel that keeps hope lit and makes change possible.

When you donate, you’ll be helping The Lantern Project to empower citizens, non-profit organizations, churches and ministries, and private organizations to impact our solution model: educate, identify, and empower.

Your donations will actively fund safe houses and rehabilitation programs, ultimately saving lives.

Finally, your participation will help us refine our victim identification strategies, making us better equipped to reach those unable to ask for help.

We urge you to donate as little or as much as you like, just once or regularly.

Every little bit helps.

We ask for a suggested donation when NGOs or Private Businesses take the training.

And, the training is available to anyone who wants it.
